This 9 inch bed mattress comes in a box. It's highly recommended to have a waterproof deep pocket mattress protector for it， as it comes with a not zippered cover. You can get a mattress pad or pillow top topper for a better experience when you feel it's extra firm or plush. Most Sleeplanner mattresses at least have a layer of gel foam. It helps air circulation and creates cooling effects. This isn't a specific model for RV but if you want to use it in a rv camper， please measure the dimension before you make any decision.
